come on man! leave the young lady to whatever makes her feel peaceful. She sounds like a very pious woman, very intelligent and out-spoken. She may not wear the Hijab physically but surely she wears the most important hijab of them all: she knows her limits, she is composed, she respects God, and she didn't go crazy. I admire this yound lady! Wear the Hijab whenever your heart tells you, or not. You're awesome anyways.

I agree that this sister is very intelligent. Furthermore she has a strong heart. Her father encouraged her to do the interview & she was wonderful.

alsalam 3alikom

samahak allah (god forgives you) me as well

i know your intensions were good but the way you did it was wrong

how ever before you teach other people things teach yourself first..

1- Our prophet-صلى الله عليه وسلم- taught us when giving advise to someone it must be in private... you can read the bokhari book and search for many ahadeeth that proves this , becuase the way you did it i guess it made her think of islam much more harder for her

2-You were staring at her where's the "GATH EL BASAR" it's forbidden to look at a women not wearing hijab as the prophet said the first accedintly stare is alright but the second one which is not by accident is one of satan's arrows "sahm min seham eshaitan"

sorry for my bad english i'm an arabian

Was Salaamu alaykum,
Shukran (thank you) for your nasihah (advice). You may not be able to tell, but my eyes were averted form her. You can better understand this if you shoot practice shots. It's the same as when a person appears to look into a camera but reads from a prompt. The order to (lower gaze) avert the eyes does not apply to "Maa dhahara minha" (what ordinarily appears) which includes the face & hands. & even if a woman has in hijab you should not stare at her.
For your first point, I was not advising her. I was interviewing her. & even from the uncut footage you can tell that the sister was comfortable & no way pressured. Rasoolullah (saw) said that "Islam is easy, & we should not make it difficult on ourselves lest we will not be able to follow it." Khimar (or hijab) is FROM Islam, so it cannot be called too hard to practice.

The interview with the woman may have had the opposite of the desired effect. I say this because there are many women who feel as her and with her speaking out others may feel more comfortable NOT wearing hijab; even if after the interview she starts to wear it. It may have been a good idea to have an interview of her exact opposite ; a sister who knows why and proud to wear hijab. Drawing comparison would would give sisters a more open choice. What if more sisters started taking hijab off because she became a heroin? I'm just sayin !

As Salaamu alaykum,
Clearly it was proven, by her alone, that there is no logic behind NOt wearing Hijab & that hijab IS fard. I think the point was made...if any sister would see this interview & decide to cease wearing Al-Khimar, hey!! Who can be blamed except themselves.
