Is it forbidden for a believer in Islam to participate in democratic elections? Does casting a vote in an election help to perpetuate the rule of man? Is it permissible to cast a vote in a democratic election for a fellow believer in order to further the goals and aims of an Islamic society when sufficient numbers of elected leadership can implement Sharia law?
