DF2 update: wouldn't be life w/out it.

As Salaamu alaykum,
We ran into a couple issues while filming The DeenFather 2.
Firstly, Abu Idris suggested we film in the rain. We know that the rain comes by only the permission & command of Allah (swt). Alhamdulillah it rained... lol! The problem is that it rained on the first day of filming but not the second, therefore, the audio might reflect these two different weather conditions.
Secondly, bad lighting. My takes are so dark, I don't even cast a shadow (joke) Lol! I purchased 2 camera-mounted 300watt halogen lights with filters that did not arrive fast enough. Now I'm all darked up like "chocolate man". Can you say re-shoot?
I did record audio on a secondary device that I may be able to use instead. & I may be able to re-shoot my scenes myself.
Inshaa Allah, in any case, make du'ah for us as we make du'ah for our Ummah.

Next Up!

DeenFather II is scheduled to be filmed 5/14-15/07 in Dallas, Tx. with a (maashaa Allah) very pleasant surprise.
Also I will take another crack at another Believers Stand-Up taking every advice given through your comments.

IJS PRISLAM (To be Muslim in prison)

PRISLAM editing 50% complete

Family & work has slowed the process lately, but Alhamdulillah! We are halfway there. I have cleared a few major work projects therefore DawahWorks should increase production by at least 2 videos a month.
The DeenFather II has been written & approved by the DW_Team and is scheduled to be filmed in 1 or 2 weeks.

IJS PRISLAM 50% complete

As Salaamu alaykum,
Today 4-29-07 we shot Prislam (A look into how Islam is practiced & understood in prison). All that is left to do now is to shoot a couple "filler" scenes tomorrow (inshaa Allah) & then upload it for editing. In the case that some shots are not up-to-par, we will re shoot those scenes in order to put forward the best amateur video we at DawahWorks can. Stay tuned... 2 SHOOTS, 1 WEEKEND

Inshaa Allah, Prislam (IJS) & DeenFather 2 are scheduled to be shot this coming Sunday (04-29-07). Prislam (IJS) would've been finished by now but brother Abu Idris came up with a couple quality ideas that MUST be incorporated in both DeenFather 2 & Prislam (IJS) in order that DawahWorks may put forth the best effort possible.
Bi-idhnillah (with Allah's help) These next to episodes of Prislam (IJS) & DeenFather 2 should be the best so far... from a technical & production standpoint.
Please make du'a for us as we pray for the entire Ummah.

DeenFather has arrived. Alhamdulillah!

As stated previously, Abu Idris aka DeenFather was visiting this weekend which will allow us to tape the "missing" dialogue. When SHABAB Attack

This Eid 2006 I was brutally attacked by some anonymous Muslim youth. Alhamdulillah the whole crime was caught on video... & for some strange reason there was music in the background... GO FIGURE.

Make it 2 weeks til THE DEENFATHER

As Salaamu alaykum,
Brother Abu Idris (The DeenFather) has rescheduled his visit for 4-14-07. Therefore, we may shoot the few additional scenes that Sunday. Editing (Inshaa Allah) shouldn't take long at all due to the fact that its basically 91% finished now. Alhamdulillah! Anaa asif (I apologize) for the delay.

THE DEEN-FATHER

Last weekend while visiting some believers in Dallas, I decided to film the first episode of a series that has been on my brain for some time... The Deen-Father. The frames have been trimmed & just need to be organized. I am awaiting some theme tunes & a Deen-Father jpeg from J-Ansari. After a few adjustments with the sound (I had forgot to pack the wireless mic), this video should be ready to upload. You guys remember "Pop-Locking"?
